A Thousand Years, Yet No Good: Finding Eternity in the Present
Greetings, beloved Triumphant family! Today, I would like to delve into the profound wisdom found in Ecclesiastes 6:6 - "Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?"
This verse speaks to the transient nature of life, reminding us that no matter how long we live, we all face the same inevitable end. It may seem disheartening, but fear not, for this verse also presents an opportunity for us to find meaning and purpose in the present.
In our journey of faith, we often focus on the future – the promise of eternal life, the hope of a better world, the anticipation of reuniting with loved ones. While these visions are certainly beautiful, they can sometimes overshadow the goodness that lies in the here and now.
Each day presents us with countless opportunities to experience the love, grace, and power of God. Each moment offers us a chance to share His love with others, to serve, to worship, and to grow in our faith. We must not overlook these blessings in our pursuit of a future that is yet to come.
As we journey through life, let us remember that every step we take, every breath we take, every word we speak – these are our testaments to God's goodness. They are the tangible evidence of His presence in our lives.
So, let us embrace each day with gratitude, knowing that we are living out God's purpose for us. Let us find joy in the present, knowing that it is a preview of the eternal life we will one day fully experience.
Remember, my dear Triumphant family, we are not just a praying, worshipping, praising, witnessing, tithing, prosperous people – we are also a victorious people, living victorious lives, because God always causes us to triumph in Christ.
Embrace the present, and let us continue to make manifest the savour of His knowledge in every place.
In faith and love.
