Bishop Melvin E. Bayne Sr. was ordained to ministry on September 17, 1995. Since then he joined
his wife Bishop Dr. Lilia A. Bayne in overseeing Triumphant Full Gospel Assembly, Inc. as the
presiding Bishop. He is also an avid teacher/preacher of the Word of God and shares scriptural
insights from a revelatory point of view, keeping his audience captive, alert and attentive.
He has hosted numerous Men's Empowerment, Financial meetings, and co-hosted leadership seminars
not only to equip those who seek advancement in their lives, but to especially draw closer
attention to where the male plays an intricate role as head of family, society and community.
Moreover, Bishop Bayne desires to see men come to a place of maturity in Christ and be able
to walk in integrity; to see them develop a good life and theological philosophy that will
cause them to be rooted and grounded in Christ and not be swayed by any contrary wind of doctrine.
In addition to the above mentioned accomplishments, Bishop Melvin E. Bayne Sr. served in
Vietnam with the United States Marine Corp, twenty-three years with the New York City Police
Department as a detective, fourteen years as personal security to New York State Attorney
Generals, and dutifully served his community for twenty six years in the New York State Army
National Guard from which he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He holds a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Bishop Bayne
attended New York School of the Bible and holds several seminary certificates in Theological
Studies. He earned a Doctorate in Theology degree from Mount Olive Bible Institute & Seminary.
Bishop Melvin E. Bayne Sr. is an exemplary role-model to those whom he is charged with the
duty of being a guiding force to. By his life's example and accomplishments, he drives home
to those around him the necessity to strive for excellence in all that they set out to do.
However, in all that Bishop Bayne attests to in his life, his greatest credentials are his
wife of 57 years whose anointing he guards, his three adult children, and two grandsons.
